Rosé and Sage Turkey

Thanksgiving is almost here… Lets make it a great one!

Hosting a holiday meal, whether it be for five or twenty-five, needn’t be stressful.

Take a moment now to review the guest list, read through your recipes and shop for any items that you will need.

Rosé was the wine of the summer…so I have decided to carry it right into fall with this Rosé and Sage Roasted Turkey. Many of the items that are needed for this recipe can be purchased ahead. Take the time this weekend to do little bit of organizing and gathering.

Bourbon Glazed Berkshire Pork Roast Prepared in Tomato Red/Cobalt Blue Chowfancy Baker

IMG_0438

This small pork roast fed three people. The mustard brown sugar coating produced a sweet crunchy crust, while the fig gravy was a delicious compliment! Serve with a side salad for the perfect meal~

This may sound ridiculous, but The Butcher had put a ban on my efforts of perfecting pork chops. Yep, I know, crazy right? Well, he was nice about it…but he kindly asked that I stop cooking pork chops…because it just wasn’t working.  So, for a few years I bypassed the pork section of the meat case.

Pink Vodka Sauce

This beautiful pasta cooks up super quick! Be sure to have the water at a rapid boil before cooking pasta for just about four minutes. Yum!

Are you looking for a special recipe to warm up the family this weekend? How about trying this Simple Pink Vodka Sauce. Quick and easy, yet super decadent, this yummy sauce will be delicious over your favorite pasta. We love the Farmers Fettucini from Northern Farmhouse Pasta, crafted from Organic NY Wheat…but a traditional Penne would be delicious too!

Herb Crusted Frenched Rack of Lamb

Looking for a showstopper this holiday?

Frenched Rack of Lamb looks super fancy, yet roasts in the oven in just under thirty minutes. Rack of Lamb is expensive…but absolutely worth it! Serve this dish if you are feeding a smaller crowd. A little bit goes a long way and will certainly be an unforgettable holiday meal. Depending on the appetites of your guests, I would suggest one rack for every two to three people. Serve a simple side dish and an elegant salad for a gourmet dinner with minimal fuss.

Poached Pear with Jamon Iberico

IMG_9644

Start this Thanksgiving meal off with a gorgeous poached pear!

These pears look super fancy, but are so simple to prepare. Finish off this sweet dish with a  salty compliment of Jamón Ibérico prosciutto from Spain or Jambon de Bayonne French prosciutto and the family will think they have eaten at the finest of restaurants this holiday!

This beautiful appetizer can be plated individually for a sit down meal. If you are planning a buffet, group the pears on a large platter. The pears can be poached the day ahead and served room temperature…or poached just before dinner and served warm. Either way they are super delicious and make a beautiful presentation!
