Printable Recipe Recipe for Pink Vodka Sauce
This recipe should feed between four to five people. If you are feeding a larger crowd, just double the amounts of heavy cream and Locatelli cheese.

You will need a large deep rimmed saute pan with a lid.

Start by prepping all of the ingredients to make this sauce super simple.

With the saute pan set over medium heat, melt the butter adding the diced onion. Let the onion soften slightly before adding the diced bacon. Cook for about ten minutes until the bacon has become crispy. The garlic can now be added to the pan and cooked for about a minute.

Next you can add the diced tomatoes, red pepper flakes and vodka to the mixture. Give it a good stir, cover and let simmer over low heat for ten minutes.

When the tomato sauce has simmered and thickened slightly you can add two cups of heavy cream. Bring the sauce back to a simmer and stir in one cup of Locatelli Cheese. The Sauce will now become thickened and creamy. Season gently with salt and pepper as the bacon adds its own flavor and salt.

Serve over your favorite pasta! Chow fancy!

My Gluten Free Friends~
This sauce can easily be made gluten free by using Applewood or Boars Head Brand Bacon which are both gluten free. You should also use Potato Vodka just to be on the safe side.
The Butcher carries a variety of Gluten Free Pasta, but I also enjoy this sauce over a plate of steamed veggies!

Yum!
