From One Family Business to Another

As our Italian adventure continued, we were pleasantly surprised to visit the most beautiful wine kitchen belonging to a family of Puglia that dates back several thousand years.

The Guarini family arrived in Terra d’Otranto centuries ago and this family of farmers has continued the tradition of guarding the Apulian agricultural heritage.

On the afternoon that we arrived at the winery, our gracious hostess Lee-Ann could tell how excited we were to be there and gave us an extravagant tour completed by a wonderful conversation with Carlo Guarini, son and family member of the Duca Carlo Guarini Vineyard.

During our tour and tasting we learned of the grapes and methods used that are unique to Puglia and the Guarini family establishment. We tasted five different wines from light to dark accompanied by delicious olive oil, vegetables and pasta. All traditions of the Apulian region, all fresh and satisfying.

A Family Business is Unique and a Gift to Each of Us

Carlo works with his father and brother to bring the best wines, olive oils and vegetable products using the organic grapes, olives, and vegetables grown on their family farms in the portion of Puglia called Salento. With great care, they work together to preserve the beauty and the heritage that their family began many years ago.
